Franck Adrien, a bank robber about to be released from prison, is eager to return home to his wife, their young daughter and the stolen loot he’s kept carefully stashed away for years. But Franck sets himself back when he heroically intervenes and saves his shy, nebbishy cellmate, Maurel, from being brutally beaten by other inmates and corrupt guards. It’s a decision he will come to regret: Franck soon realizes after Maurel is released from jail that his family is in terrible danger. Taking advantage of another vicious attack, he manages to escape. As Franck tracks down the man who has killed his wife and kidnapped his daughter, he finds help with an ex-gendarme with a highly personal stake in catching the murderer. Assigned to track him down is Claire, a smart detective who sometimes has difficulty pulling the trigger. A trail of corpses and other pieces of evidence left by Maurel raise her suspicion that Franck is not just a bank robber, but a serial killer terrorizing young women in the Alpes-Maritime region…
